Walt Matia sculpture bases
Black laminate body, stained mahogany reveal and a hardwood platform beneath the bronze are the details of this base for a Walt Matia sculpture. Location is in an office park in Springfield, Va.
Dramatic wolf sculpture with sloping bottom required a complicated base. The veneer is block-mottled makore, African cherry.
This is project was for the Merrill Lynch office complex in Princeton, N.J. Base is makore veneer, with makore wood moulding around the top.
